About The Role

Bradford Children and families trust are proud to support new social workers into the profession.  We take social workers who have practiced as students in the trust and from further afield 

ASYE coordinators are responsible for ensuring that the newly qualified social workers are provided with the support expected under the requirements of our skills for care funding as well as the additional support we provide through the ASYE academy.

2025 is a big year for the ASYE academy as we anticipate the recruitment of triple the usual number of newly qualified social workers through our doors.  Each new social worker recruit can expect a programme of training designed and delivered by the ASYE coordinators who will then follow their ASYE year ensuring they meet the relevant milestones and deliver a portfolio to pass their ASYE.  The ASYE coordinator will ensure that the social work teams are equipped with the knowledge and skills to support and advice their social worker to a pass and provide additional assistance should their be any problems along the way.

This is a temporary role for 18 months to support the ASYE lead with the additional capacity.

About you

We are looking for social work practice educators with four years post qualifying experience and at least six months as a level 3 social worker.

We will need someone with a good understanding of the needs and expectations of newly qualified social workers and their colleagues.

We require someone who is flexible and up for a challenge who can join in the varied activities of the learning development team.
