Salary: Grade -PO3 £42,839 - £46,142 (SCP 32-35)

Permanent,

37 hours per week, 

Based in Bradford district,

About the Role

Fostering in Bradford is the largest fostering family in the district supporting fostering families caring for local children. 

Are you a skilled and experienced social worker passionate about securing the best outcomes for children.  Join our dedicated Fostering Service as a Kinship Assessing Social Worker, where you’ll play a vital role in identifying and supporting family placements that help children thrive. Working within a specialist team, you’ll complete full kinship assessments following viability checks, ensuring timely and appropriate placements. 

This is a rewarding opportunity for a social worker with strong assessment skills, a deep understanding of attachment and trauma, and a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

To be successful in this role you will need: 

  • Have a Social Work Degree and be registered with the Social Work England as a qualified Social Worker. 
  • Know what excellence looks like and champion best practice.
  • Have a good working knowledge of fostering regulations, national minimum standards and the SGO offer. 
  • Have a sound knowledge and/or experience of therapeutic support for fostering families.
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Have sound safeguarding knowledge and experience
  • Be able to make and maintain effective professional relationships
