The Role
Business Support Services – Business Support Team Manager - Office Based
Business Support Services within Bradford Children and Families Trust work closely to support and enable our Executive and Senior leaders, Early Help, Social Work, Performance, Partners, Finance and Corporate Services teams and provide essential support in the effective day to day running of Children’s services.
We are keen to further invest in our workforce and are recruiting 2 x Business Support Team Managers on both a full time and/or part time basis to continue to drive the day to day support that enables Children’s Services to operate efficiently and effectively. Previous management of business functions of service, including financial management, performance and administration is essential.
About You
You will be able to drive the delivery of consistent standards and lead change. You must have previous experience in a similar Business Support Manager role (although not necessarily Children’s Services) have great customer and people management skills to ensure that the service is efficient and effective to assist in the provision of flexible, proficient and robust administrative service within Children’s Social Care.
Key skills we will be looking for include:
- To lead an efficient, effective and robust business support service within Children’s Services, to provide guidance and support ensuring that work priorities are delivered accurately and to strict deadlines. To support the wider Children’s Services in the delivery of an excellent service to customers, communicating in an informed, confident, polite and understanding manner with all clients and customers.
- Experience in people and financial management
- First class communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills including research and management of information and data.
- Strong organisational and time management skills including ability to delegate effectively
- People management skills and ability to develop excellent relationships
- Excellent IT skills
- Ability to work flexibly as part of a diverse team environment and ensuring continuity of service provision
- Be a positive role model and able to motivate others
- Have high expectations of yourself and others
- Ability to adhere to GDPR
Required skills and qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in an administrative role
- NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration, or equivalent in a relevant subject,
- 5 ‘O’ Level/GCSE English Grade A-C, or equivalent.
- Experience of managing, leading and supervising a team of staff
- Experience of driving change, developing and implementing new procedures and systems, manual or electronic.
