About The Role

We currently have vacancies for Community Resource Workers in the children in care service, as we expand to ensure are young people have a high quality service. You will be supporting Social Workers to support families and children who may require temporary or ongoing help. Working directly with families and building relationships and trust with them in a safe, but fun, environment.  

This really is hands on role and at the frontline of ensuring that every child has the best start in life.

Key Responsibilities 

·       Supervising family time arrangements

·       Direct work with children including life story work

·       Supporting social workers to manage non-statutory activities with children

·       General support such as opening bank accounts of applying for a passports

About you

  • You must hold a minimum Level 3 Diploma working with children and young people or other relevant qualifications (for example:  A Relevant degree, Dip S.W, RGN, Teaching, Youth and Community etc, or equivalent as specified by the service if this is supported by 2 years' experience of working with 2 children)
  • Experience – Adequate continuous experience of working with children and young people.
  • Good Communication skills
  • A driving licence and access to a car with Business Insurance unless a disability prevents this.
