Salary: Grade L3, SCPs 12 - 24 - £28,598 - £35,412, Permanent, 37 hours per week, Based in Keighley and Shipley, Hybrid working arrangements

About the Role

We currently have a full time 37 Hours opportunity for a Community Resource Worker in Keighley and Shipley Children’s and Family Service. You will be supporting Social Workers to support families and children who may require temporary or ongoing help. The role will require you to work directly with families and building relationships and trust with them.

This really is hands on role and at the frontline of ensuring that every child has the best start in life.

You’ll also:

  • Supervising family time arrangements
  • Direct work with children
  • Supporting social workers to manage non-statutory activities with children
  • General support such as opening bank accounts of applying for a passports
  • Deliver direct work with parents to support in areas such as, budgeting, establishing routines and boundaries, and healthy relationships.

To be successful in this role you will need: 

  • You must hold a minimum Level 3 Diploma working with children and young people or other relevant qualifications (for example:  A Relevant degree, Dip S.W, RGN, Teaching, Youth and Community etc, or equivalent as specified by the service if this is supported by 2 years' experience of working with 2 children)
  • Experience – Adequate continuous experience of working with children and young people.
  • Good Communication skills
  • A driving licence and access to a car with Business Insurance unless a disability prevents this.
