Fostering Service – Bradford Children & Families Trust
Payment: £55 ph + mileage or public transport cost (travelling time not paid for)
Location: Fostering Service, Sir Henry Mitchell House, 4 Manchester Road, Bradford, BD5 0QL
We are seeking to appoint a Chair to one of our four Fostering Panels.
There are four Fostering Panels that each meet monthly on a Thursday. You would be supported by an experienced Panel Adviser with administrative support.
Bradford is a large metropolitan area which has diverse population with a significant Looked After population. We are passionate about creating a diverse workforce to represent the diverse population of Bradford.
Bradford Children & Families Trust is proud to have a large and well regarded Fostering Service. We have specialist teams that support a variety of activity that includes recruitment and assessment, kinship, as well as long and short term fostering teams. We also have teams supporting carers who provide short breaks for children with disabilities/complex health needs.
There are multi-agency approaches to promoting positive outcomes for children. We are also working on a range of initiatives to promote the participation of looked after children and young people.
We are committed to securing permanence for all Looked After Children.
We are seeking applications from people with:
- Experience of either professionally or personally or both, of the placement of children in adoptive and foster families and of children being cared for away from their birth family
- Experience of chairing complex meetings
- We particularly encourage applications from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) candidates.
Enhanced CRB clearance is necessary for this role.
Successful applicants will be subject to a probationary review at 6 months and an annual appraisal
