Parenting Worker -  1x 30 hr post

Temporary until 31st March 2027. If permanent hours become available in that time, you would be offered them.

Office based – Reevy Hill Family Hub

About the Role

We are recruiting a Parenting Worker to be based in the South Family Hub area which is part of our Prevention and Early Help Service. 

The parenting teams provide a range of evidence-based programmes to groups of parents in settings across the district. 

As well as having excellent skills and experience of working with parents, you will also be confident in working with other agencies. You will also be a flexible and positive team member.

To be successful in this role you will need:  

  • Experience of delivery of groups or evidenced-based programmes with families. 
  • To communicate clearly and professionally
  • To be proactive, organised, and passionate about improving outcomes for children.
  • Evidence of training in and responding to safeguarding issues.
  • Have a full driving licence and access to a car
  • NVQ 3 or Diploma level 3, in Health & Social Care, or equivalent related qualification
  • Knowledge regarding children’s development, parenting and group work principles
  • GCSE English and Maths or equivalent
  • Recent experience of working with adults, parents or children.
