Grade PO4, 37 hours per week, Based at Sir Henry Mitchell House.
2x Full Time Roles in West Locality
1x Part Time Role in East

About the Role
The Practice supervisor is required to support the ongoing practice and development in our Localities. The opportunity will provide the candidate with experience of leading and guiding others, modelling good practice and watching the growth and development of the team.
As a practice supervisor you will guide and mentor the ASYE’s in your team and be responsible for a social work student.
As a practice supervisor you will support the Team Manager in managing the performance of the team.

You’ll also:
- Support a team of Social Workers of differing levels with reflective group supervisions.
- Work with the practice development hub around our monthly obsessions.
- Undertake audit activity and disseminate learning identified.
- Promote best practice around timescales.
- Work alongside social workers to model restorative practice with our families
- Act as an Assessor for Newly Qualified Social Workers completing their Assessed and Supported Year in Employment and be the Practice Educator for student social workers including the provision of regular reflective supervision,
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Hold a social work degree or equivalent qualification and are registered with the Social Work England as a qualified Social Worker.
- At least 4 years post qualification social work experience with a minimum of 12 months as an experienced level 3 social worker.
- Hold Full Practice Educator qualification at Stage two or be ready to start the stage two award within 6 months of appointment.
- Significant experience of managing complex issues work including child protection work and Court proceedings.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence, negotiate and establish credibility for the Service, to enhance its reputation, and to form positive relationships.
