About The Role
Within this role, you will drive and influence practice improvement by managing and leading all quality-assurance activity across Early Help, Parenting and Family Support, Fostering, Social Work, Residential and Youth Justice Service.
Within the role, you will prepare and present reports to share with senior managers and respective boards that oversee the improvement work for children’s services.
Within the role, you will also be ensuring that learning outcomes from audits are highlighted and embedded in practice and that outcomes for children improve.
You will also work closely with the Learning and Development team to ensure that the findings from auditing is feeding into the learning and development activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive improvements in service delivery to meet the needs of our children in care in line with the vision of the Trust. You will be responsible for delivering training, coaching and support residential childcare staff, equipping them with the essential knowledge and skills needed to provide a nurturing and therapeutic environment for our children.
- To be accountable for the quality of practice, setting standards and creating the conditions required for learning by motivating, nurturing, mentoring staff and contributing to practice development, including undertaking activity that links to the Childrens Services performance framework.
- Monitor and review the feedback and effectiveness of the training with the manager to ensure that the training needs of the service are met.
- You need to be able to collate, analyse and present complex data from a range of sources, and use this to prepare reports to understand the service that is being provided to the children and families of Bradford, and the areas that need to be strengthened.
About You
- Experience of quality assuring the services delivered to children and families.
- Professional social work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
- Experience and understanding of children services and the role that they play in improving the lives of children and families in Bradford.
- Experience of promoting good practice
- Comprehensive knowledge of social work practice and legislation, including safeguarding and subject knowledge that reflects best practice.
- Experience of building effective relationships and communicating with partners.
- Advanced IT skills – Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel are required as well as excellent time management and multi-tasking skills.
