About the Role

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in transforming how we deliver services. You’ll lead a team of analysts, collaborate with stakeholders, and drive improvements that align with our Business Plan. Your work will directly impact the lives of children and families in Bradford.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor Business Analysts, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Develop and implement business analysis frameworks and tools.
  • Conduct workshops, interviews, and data analysis to identify service improvements.
  • Map and optimise business processes using best practices.
  • Support change management and project delivery across the organisation.
  • Produce clear, insightful reports and business cases.
  • Collaborate with IT and service teams to deliver innovative solutions.

About You

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Proven experience in business analysis, ideally in social care or the public sector.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
  • A relevant professional certification (e.g., Six Sigma, LEAN, Business Process Modelling).
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proficiency in tools like MS Office, Power BI, and Visio.
  • A passion for continuous improvement and making a difference in children’s services.

To succeed in the role, you will be able to demonstrate the following: 

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst, ideally in social care or the public sector.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide Business Analysts.
  • Skilled in business process mapping, data analysis, and benefits profiling.
  • Proficient in tools such as MS Office, Power BI, and Visio.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong ability to use Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
  • Able to manage change, assess impact, and support implementation.
  • Holds a relevant certification (e.g. BCS, APMG, LEAN Practitioner).
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and children’s services (desirable).
  • Committed to continuous improvement and public service values.
