Senior Business Support Officer
Salary: Band 8, SCPs 17 - 22 - £31,022 - £33,699, Permanent, 37 hours per week, Based in Bradford

About the Role
Business Support Services within Bradford Children and Families Trust work closely to support and enable our Executive and Senior leaders, Early Help, Social Work, Performance, Partners, Finance and Corporate Services teams and provide essential support in the effective day to day running of Children’s services.
We are keen to further invest in our workforce and are recruiting an additional Senior Business Support Finance Officer based at one of our offices within the Bradford District to provide additional support our practice staffing teams in achieving better outcomes for children and families.
About You
You will be a proactive and passionate about Children’s Services and achieving better outcomes for our children and young people, be able to provide the highest quality administration service delivery and performance. You will be able to deputise, line manage and offer high support high challenge enabling and effective dedicated team environment, be customer focused and able to deliver the role with a flexible approach.
Key skills we will be looking for include:
- Excellent leadership and the ability to manage change offering ongoing support and development opportunities within the team.
- The ability to manage, develop and implement change and improvement within the service, including new processes and procedures ensuring all levels of governance.
- Excellent administrative skills including minute taking and sound knowledge of various computer packages including Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Provide regular, up to date and accurate, performance data to the Management Team and liaise with relevant staff within service areas to resolve issues and assist the Service in achieving performance targets
- An ability to prioritise work activity and co-ordinate Business Support Staff in accordance with statutory requirements and timescales, and in agreement with Management
- An ability to work flexibly as part of a diverse team environment and ensure continuity of service provision
- Experience of dealing with number of conflicting and changing priorities effectively to achieve business objectives and ensure deadlines are met
- Demonstrate experience and understanding in working in an outcome focused environment, and working towards continuous improvement.
Required skills and qualifications:
- Administrative experience to senior management level
- RSA Level 2 or NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration or equivalent
- 5 GCSE, (Level A-C in English and Maths) or equivalent
- Experience of prioritising the workloads of others
- Experience of supervising staff
- Experience of working with performance indicators
- Experience of developing and implementing new procedures and systems
- Excellent IT skills in the use of a variety of software for data handling and transmission
- Excellent communication and customer service skills at all levels
- Excellent attention to detail
- Knowledge of Information, Case management and Financial Systems are desirable
