About The Role

The Trust has a hybrid model of working, with staff being expected to work two to three days in the office each week, with the remaining days being worked from home, subject to the needs of the service.

We are looking for a confident and skilled Senior Finance Officer to work in our Finance Team. Our objective is to deliver a first-class financial service to services / departments throughout the Trust, with a view to ensuring excellence in terms of service delivery and value for money.

Reporting to the Principal Accountant, your role will support the Finance Team and promote the delivery of an excellent service to customers. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing a comprehensive, professional financial support service to service customers.
  • To undertake complex pieces of accountancy work and to support and advise services in achieving their objectives.
  • To develop good working relationships with colleagues to support the delivery of financial services and showing at all times professionalism and respect.
  • Prepare, analyse and interpret financial and other service performance information to influence and enable managers to make the correct operational decisions.

About You

You will be AAT qualified (or hold an equivalent qualification) and with experience of business partnering and stakeholder engagement, you will have relevant experience in a financial management environment and knowledge of the current and emerging Government legislation & statutory regulations and other key operational initiatives and directives affecting the public sector. Strong interpersonal skills are also a requirement for this role.
