We’re on the lookout for a confident, proactive, and experienced Senior Finance Officer to join our friendly and forward-thinking Finance Team. In this pivotal role, you’ll work closely with Managers and budget holders to help manage budgets, maintain accurate forecasts, and provide timely financial insight and guidance that supports key decision-making. You’ll also play a vital part in strengthening our Finance Team’s service delivery—contributing to a culture of excellence and customer-focused support.

Key Responsibilities
- Providing a comprehensive, professional financial support service to service customers.
- To undertake complex pieces of accountancy work and to support and advise services in achieving their objectives.
- To develop good working relationships with colleagues to support the delivery of financial services and showing at all times professionalism and respect.
- Prepare, analyse and interpret financial and other service performance information to influence and enable managers to make the correct operational decisions.
About You
You will be AAT qualified (or hold an equivalent qualification) and with experience of business partnering and stakeholder engagement, you will have relevant experience in a financial management environment and knowledge of the current and emerging Government legislation & statutory regulations and other key operational initiatives and directives affecting the public sector. Strong interpersonal skills are also a requirement for this role.
