About The Role

Business Support Services within Bradford Children and Families Trust work closely to support and enable our Executive and Senior leaders, Early Help, Social Work, Performance, Partners, Finance and Corporate Services teams to provide essential support in the effective day to day running of Children’s services.

We are keen to further invest in our workforce and are now recruiting Specialist Minute Takers on both a full time and/or part time basis to enable a strong, flexible, proficient and confidential minute taking and administrative service within Children’s Social Care.

About You:

You will be a ‘can-do' person, who is able to assist in the provision of flexible, proficient and confidential minute taking and administrative service to the Children’s Services dealing with extremely sensitive and highly confidential information, within established policies and procedures and to strict deadlines

Key skills we will be looking for include:

  • Excellent administrative skills including minute taking which are essential for this role.
  • Excellent IT skills using Microsoft packages and case management systems.
  • The ability to take and produce clear, relevant and accurate records of decisions and recommendations, and minutes of meetings covering complex material.
  • The ability to circulate, via agreed secure electronic methods, decisions and recommendations, and minutes of various meetings
  • The ability to communicate effectively both verbally face to face, on the telephone and in writing with a wide range of people.
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills in order to research and produce reports, non-standard correspondence, manage information and data and also to produce accurate records of meetings.
  • Ability to work on own initiative with a pro-active approach to all tasks to ensure business objectives and deadlines are met.
  • Ability to work flexibly as part of a diverse team environment, providing cover when needed to ensure continuity of service provision

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Adequate administrative experience
  • Previous experience of minute taking at a speed of 50 wpm
  • 5 GCSE's 
  • Excellent IT skills in the use of a variety of software for data handling and transmission
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills at all levels
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Knowledge of case and information management systems is desirable
