Job Introduction
We have unique and critical opportunities for Team Managers in Bradford to join the Child Exploitation Hub, working with young people between the ages of 10-18 who are considered at risk of Child Exploitation. This is your chance to lead a team and make a tangible difference.
About Us
Bradford Children and Families Trust was established in April 2023 to enhance the quality and delivery of Children’s Services across our district. Our purpose is clear, to ensure that our promise to improve the lives of children and young people in Bradford becomes a reality. It’s a tough ask. It requires dedication, determination, and resilience – but under a new Chief Executive, Senior Leadership team and an unswerving drive to deliver the best outcomes, we are confident that we’ll achieve our ambition – and you, yours.
So, if you’re up for the Challenge we’d love to hear from you!
About the Role
We are a multi-agency Child Exploitation and Missing from Home service led by Children's Social Care, Police and Health whose primary function is to support children and young people who are at risk/ victims of child criminal exploitation and/or child sexual exploitation and bring offenders to justice.
The team is vibrant, diverse, and highly efficient, offering several evidence-based interventions to support children that have been or are at risk of exploitation. Caseloads are low within the team to enable intensive interventions to be provided. The CE Hub support within the Child in Need or Child Protection frameworks and adopt a contextual safeguarding approach working in partnership with children and their families.
We work closely with Police, Youth Offending Team, Health Practitioners, and education to initiate attitudinal and behaviour change. This results in a reduction in offending and reoffending behaviour linked to a reduction in Police intelligence, reduced remand figures. There is higher engagement with Youth offending orders, young people no longer associating with gangs, reduction in missing episodes, engagement in education/employment and improved relationships within home environments.
