About Us
Bradford Children and Families Trust was established in April 2023 with the mission to enhance the lives of children and families across the Bradford district. We operate eight residential homes throughout the area, including our home in Thornton, which provides care for young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).
About The Role
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Domestic to help maintain a clean, hygienic, and welcoming environment for the children in our residential home. Your role will be vital in ensuring the home remains a safe, comfortable and welcoming space for everyone.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general cleaning duties across the home, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and communal areas.
- Ensure high standards of hygiene are maintained in line with health and safety regulations.
- Support laundry duties including washing, drying, and ironing.
- Replenish cleaning supplies and report any maintenance issues.
- Work collaboratively with care staff to support the overall wellbeing of the children.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in cleaning or domestic work (preferably in a care or residential setting).
- A caring and respectful attitude towards children and young people.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Awareness of infection control and health & safety practices.
- Flexibility to adapt to the needs of the home.
- Reliable and flexible: to support the young people we provide care for.
- Committed to safeguarding: You either hold a current DBS certificate on the update service or are willing to undergo the necessary checks.
- A understanding of COSHH.
